The Foundation for the Management of Health Research in Seville (FISEVI) has formally joined the institutional manifesto “Digámoslo Alto y Claro”, promoted by the Andalusian Women’s Institute, there by reinforcing its commitment to the prevention and eradication of sexual harassment and sex-based harassment in the workplace.

With this signing, FISEVI is recognised as an organisation committed to building safe, respectful and equal workplaces, where personal dignity and equal treatment constitute fundamental principles of coexistence and professional development.
This commitment entails the explicit adoption of a ten-point set of principles that guides FISEVI’s organisational culture and reinforces the measures already included in its Equality Plan:
- Dignity: Ensuring a professional environment based on respect and personal and professional development.
- Zero tolerance: Rejecting any form of conduct, expression or behaviour that is intimidating, discriminatory or constitutes harassment.
- Information: Ensuring that all staff are aware of the institution’s commitment and the preventive measures in place.
- Training: Providing Human Resources and people management teams with training in the prevention, detection and handling of harassment.
- Reporting: Maintaining effective and accessible channels for reporting any situation involving discrimination or harassment.
- Protection: Guaranteeing protection against retaliation in relation to the exercise of rights or the submission of complaints.
- Respect: Safeguarding the professional and personal reputation of all employees.
- Confidentiality: Ensuring the utmost rigour, discretion and protection of information in the handling of cases.
- Continuous improvement: Continuing to strengthen protocols, procedures and active equality measures.
- Responsibility: Contributing to the improvement of the working environment, workplace relations and the organisation’s social responsibility.
The organisation’s adherence to the manifesto also forms part of its application process for the Andalusian Mark of Excellence in Equality (MAEI), a distinction awarded to organisations that demonstrate an effective commitment to equality between women and men, the prevention of discrimination, and the promotion of inclusive working environments.
This initiative is also aligned with the framework established by Organic Law 3/2007 on the effective equality of women and men, which calls on organisations to promote working conditions that prevent sexual harassment and sex-based harassment, as well as specific procedures for their prevention and management.
In a field such as research and healthcare management, where professional excellence must go hand in hand with strong ethical and social values, FISEVI continues to advance in consolidating an organisational culture based on respect, effective equality and people’s wellbeing. In doing so, it demonstrates that equality is not merely a legal obligation, but an essential part of its institutional identity and its commitment to a fairer society.
