FISEVI, IBiS and the Benalup con el Cáncer Association join forces to promote sarcoma research through a solidarity donation
Share on:
The donation made by the Benalup con el Cáncer Association (BCC) will contribute to the development of the research line of the Molecular Pathology of Sarcomas and Other Tumors group at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS).
The Foundation for the Management of Health Research in Seville (FISEVI) has received a donation from the Benalup Cancer Association, intended, at the express wish of the Benalup-based organization, to support research projects focused on sarcomas, a disease that continues to pose significant clinical and scientific challenges.
This donation ceremony highlights the importance of collaboration between society and institutions dedicated to health research. In this regard, FISEVI plays a fundamental role as the entity responsible for managing, promoting, and channeling resources allocated to biomedical research, ensuring that contributions from associations and the public are transformed into scientific projects with a direct impact on people’s health.

Furthermore, during the meeting, representatives from the Benalup Cancer Association were able to learn firsthand about the work being carried out in this line of research. This included everything from the technical services necessary for the research to the laboratory itself where the researchers perform their daily work.
Research into rare diseases such as sarcomas requires the combined efforts of researchers, institutions, and social organizations. Therefore, initiatives like this are especially valuable, as they help supplement project funding and accelerate the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
Both the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS), and especially the Molecular Pathology of Sarcomas and Other Tumors group, and the Foundation for Health Research Management of Seville (FISEVI) express their gratitude to the Benalup con el Cáncer Association (BCC) for its trust, close collaboration, and commitment to biomedical research, and for its support, which helps to continue promoting scientific projects that generate new opportunities in the fight against cancer.
