On Thursday, 3rd July, the association from Utrera visited the facilities of the Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla (IBiS) to take part in the formal handover ceremony. The donation, managed entirely by our foundation, has been allocated in full to the Neuromuscular Diseases Group at IBiS, coordinated by Dr Carmen Paradas López, which focuses its research on the understanding and clinical approach to MND.

The association was welcomed by Mr José Cañón Campos (Managing Director of FISEVI and IBiS), Dr Rafael Fernández-Chacón (Scientific Director of IBiS), members of the FISEVI Legal Advisory UnitAmalia A. Villalobos Gómez (Head of Unit) and Jesús Ordóñez Cabello (Legal Advisor) — and Dr Carmen Paradas López. All expressed their appreciation for the collaboration of organisations like ‘VuELA con Ale’, highlighting their vital role in supporting biomedical research into diseases such as MND and in ensuring the continuity of scientific projects aimed at improving understanding and treatment options.

Since its founding, ‘VuELA con Ale’ has worked to raise awareness and support individuals and families affected by this disease. The association carries out numerous fundraising and charitable initiatives to raise public awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and the ongoing need for research into MND.

FISEVI and the Neuromuscular Diseases Group at IBiS would like to express their sincere gratitude to ‘VuELA con Ale’ for their commitment to scientific research and for contributing to areas with strong investigative potential.
