The International Project Management Unit of FISEVI has held a new session in Los Miércoles en el Macarena series, a training initiative aimed at research staff and professionals in the biosanitary field. On this occasion, the event featured Elvira Cruces, a technical officer from the FISEVI/IBiS Technology Transfer Unit.

During her presentation, Elvira delivered a practical session whose main objective was to provide key guidance and recommendations on how to take care of a research project from its initial stages through to its potential exploitation, placing particular emphasis on the importance of ensuring essential aspects from the outset, such as confidentiality, data protection and the safeguarding of research results.

Throughout the session, the legal support provided by the Technology Transfer Unit to research staff was addressed, placing in context a range of key documents that should be understood and used throughout the innovation process. These included confidentiality agreements, collaboration or service provision agreements to formalise partnerships with other entities, material and data transfer agreements, as well as licence agreements for the assignment of exploitation rights, which are crucial in the final stage of results transfer.
