‘Los Miércoles en el Macarena’ return with two special sessions

The FISEVI International Projects Management Unit has announced the return of the informative series ‘Los Miércoles en el Macarena,’ with two special sessions.
The main goal of these sessions is to provide advice and guidance on international biomedical research projects to healthcare and research staff, as well as administrative personnel, offering a welcoming space to address any arising questions.
First session: March 12, 2025, 10:00 a.m.
- Topic: “Information on available work programs + Guidelines for Horizon Europe Work Program 2026-2027”
- Description: During this first session, the latest available work programs within the European Union’s funding framework will be discussed: WP2025, Mission Cancer 2025, IHI, and preliminary WP 2026-2027 topics. Attendees will receive guidance on how to participate in these programs, eligibility requirements, research priorities, as well as practical advice for submitting successful proposals. Horizon Europe is a key EU initiative to fund research and innovation, driving scientific advancements that have a significant impact on society.
Second session: March 26, 2025, 10:00 a.m.
- Topic: “From the lab to innovation: TRL and collaboration with industry”
- Collaboration: Technology Transfer Unit OTT FISEVI/IBiS (Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla)
- Description: This session will explore the concept of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), which are essential for taking developments and innovations from the lab to their implementation in industry. Collaboration between biomedical research and the industrial sector will be one of the central themes, with a particular focus on how these partnerships can accelerate the technology transfer process and generate benefits for both science and society. Experts from the FISEVI/IBiS Technology Transfer Unit will be participating.
