IBiS receives the AMR EDUCare Train the Trainers event

Share on:

Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla (IBiS) will embrace in its facilities for two days, Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6, the AMR EDUCare Train the Trainers event, in which various members of the European AMR EDUCare project will meet. The objectives of this meeting are the presentation and debate on the different advances that have emerged with respect to the different work packages existing within the project itself.

What is AMR EDUCare?

It is an initiative that seeks to prepare healthcare personnel in the European Union in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and thus reduce the spread and exposure to AMR, given the urgent need to address the exponential growth of bacteria resistant to available antibiotic treatments.

Different training strategies seek to increase the knowledge of professional health personnel about the prescription of antibiotics, improve their communication skills to manage patients’ expectations when receiving medication, and raise awareness about health management in processes and techniques to reduce and better manage antimicrobial residues.

With a duration of 30 months (from March 1, 2023) and financed by the program EU4HEALTH, the project is coordinated by the entity Health Care Without Harm Europe (HCWH Europe) and among the participating organizations like Fundación para la Gestión de la Investigación en Salud de Sevilla (FISEVI).
