The Regional Government of Andalusia, through the Regional Ministry of Health, the Presidency and Emergencies, has approved the allocation of €3.3 million to promote research, development and innovation (R&D&I) projects in the field of health during 2025. This competitive call covers three main areas: general health projects, research focused on primary care, and public–private collaboration.
Among the beneficiary entities are biomedical research foundations from across Andalusia, with significant participation from groups and teams linked to different provinces. In this context, FISEVI has secured approval for several projects in both the general category and the public–private collaboration scheme, consolidating its role in health research within the autonomous community.

Distribution of projects by funding stream
Under the general projects stream, the Fundación para la Investigación Biosanitaria de Andalucía Oriental (FIBAO) tops the list with six approved projects, followed by the Fundación para la Gestión de la Investigación en Salud de Sevilla (FISEVI) with five, the Fundación Pública Andaluza para la Investigación de Málaga en Biomedicina y Salud (FIMABIS) with four, and the Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica de Córdoba (FIBICO), which has secured two projects.
Regarding the public–private collaboration stream, FISEVI has been awarded two projects, while FIBAO and FIMABIS have each obtained one.
Finally, of the 13 projects focused on primary care, FIBAO leads with five projects, followed by FISEVI with four, and both FIBICO and FIMABIS with two each.
The total of 34 projects funded in 2025 covers a broad range of scientific topics, including chronic diseases, neurology and mental health, health technologies and telemedicine, advanced therapies, epidemiology and public health, among others.
